How to Choose a Bathtub Faucet Cover

If you have a toddler, then you know that it is difficult to get them to sit still for more than a few minutes at a time. And in the bathtub, it is really easy for a child to get a head bump if they come into contact with the water faucet.

So many parents want to invest in a bathtub faucet cover in order to prevent accidents from happening. But it can be difficult to find the right one. So I wanted to give you a few features to look for when buying a bath faucet cover.

Puj SnugFirst of all keep in mind that most tub spout covers are a tight fit. So they work the best if they can be permanent. Once you put on a spout cover in most tubs, it is impossible to take a shower because the shower diverter is often covered up and not accessible. If you have a separate bath room from the kids, this will not be a problem. But if you don’t, you will need to find a faucet cover that is easily to remove and re-attach.  The concern with this though is that it could become loose over time and therefore not be as effective.

I did find one faucet protector that doesn’t block the shower diverter.  The Puj Snug – Ultra Soft Spout Cover fits most tub spouts and has a cut out for the shower diverter. This way your child is protected from bumps on the head and you can easily convert your bath to a shower.

Once you  decide if a faucet cover can work in your bath, then comes the fun! You want to choose a spout cover that is safe but also fun for the kids. There are many different kinds of spout covers that squirt water and make bath time fun for kids.
